ERC - MicroFiber

What is Microfiber?

Microfiber is a man-made product that consists of two fibers, Polyester and Polymide. The Polyester is the scrubbing and cleaning fiber, while the Polymide is the absorbing and quick drying fiber. Each square inch in a microfiber towel contains approximately 90,000 microfibers.

Why Use Microfiber?

Microfiber is a lint free, non-abrasive, and hypoallergenic product that allows you to clean without the use of chemicals. Unlike ordinary cotton towels that move, or push, the dirt and dust from one point to another, Microfiber actually gets underneath the dirt and lifts it from the surface. It then stores the dirt particles in the towel, until it is washed. For this reason, chemicals are not needed. Microfiber is very absorbent and can hold up to seven times its weight in moisture. Microfiber dust cloths are safe on all surfaces. Microfiber can be used with a diluted disinfectant.

Getting the Most Out of Your Microfiber

Microfiber Cloths work best when used slightly damp. For optimum results, spray mist the towel with tap water and wipe. No chemicals are needed. If the towel leaves streaks while cleaning, it is too damp or too dirty, and needs to be washed. Microfiber is safe on most surfaces. For polishing and dusting, microfiber towels are best when used dry. Wash in Warm Water (approximately 105 degrees). Tumble Dry Low. ALWAYS wash microfibers before using and ALWAYS wash colors separately. NEVER use bleach, NEVER use fabric softener, and DO NOT iron.

Microfiber Mop vs. Traditional Mop

Microfiber Mop Traditional Wet Loop Mop

Benefits of Using a Microfiber Mop

  • Captures More Dust & Dirt
  • Less Labor Intensive
  • Save Money on Chemicals
  • Helps to Eliminate Cross Contamination

Captures More Dust & Dirt

  • Like Mircofiber cloths, these amazing mops scoop, lift, and trap the dirt off the floor

Less Labor Intensive

  • Lightweight design makes microfiber mops easy to handle and maneuver
  • No need to repeatedly bend over and wring out microfiber mops.
  • Simply replace the mop head once dirty

Save Money on Chemicals

  • A slightly damp microfiber mop head will clean without the use of costly chemicals

Helps to Eliminate Cross Contamination

  • Because the same mop water is not being shared between areas, using microfiber mops helps to eliminate cross contamination, especially in places like healthcare facilities and hospitals
